There is no need to compromise on quality of coffee when you are out and about. With the Bodum Travel Press, you can take your coffeemaker with you. The travel press was designed so that you can brew your favorite coffee or tea and drink right out of the same tumbler. The double wall construction inusaltes your beverage and keeps it hotter longer while keeping your hands cool. The spill-resistant lid keeps the heat in when you are not enjoying your hot beverage. The Travel Press is simple to use. Simply add one or two scoops of your favorite coarse ground coffee or the appropriate amount of loose-leaf tea. Fill with hot water and screw the lid in place with the press in the up position. Allow the coffee to brew for 4-minutes (tea should brew 3-5 minutes or to your liking) and then press. Once you have pressed, open the lid and enjoy a balanced & flavorful cup of coffee or tea. To clean it up, just rinse out the grounds and handwash for best results. The travel press is a perfect brewing method if you just need coffee or tea for one, as well as while you are travelling, at work, camping or just out and about. Fits in most car cup holders.

But the worst part is that plenty of grinds manage to squeeze around the edges of the plunger and end up in your coffee, no matter how careful you are.Basically the only good thing about this press is that it is made from plastic and is very durable. There are no handles, and the plastic gets too hot to hold, so you have to awkwardly pour by the top. This is definitely the worst french press I've ever used. You can just toss it in your bag (or bring it camping) and not have to worry about it. The normal un-screwing of the top can also unscrew the bottom part of the plunger, which is then very hard to get out. For reasons I can't explain, the same coffee in the same sized press tastes significantly worse from this press when compared to my normal glass Bodum press. Mine was a returned item, so I got it for $5, which is about how much this thing is worth. Every other press I've ever used works better, but at least this won't break.
the cup was quite a bit scratched on the outside and i paid too much for it. You can buy the same thing at starbucks for $12.99. so, bad buy here in amazon.
The travel press works great. I was concerned that it might leak, but it has been tipped several times and contain the coffee as long as everything is closed properly.
filter the liquid though the grinds and screen (Some grinds will definitely go through the rubber gasket the first time) 2. This thing is great you just have to plunge it twice. 1. pull the plunger out rinse off grinds and plunge a second time (this time there should be no grinds passing through.TIPS: I like to dissolve the sugar in the water as it boils and put the milk in before i plunge. this is easier than trying to do it after the plunger is in.
The other reviewers have properly characterized this product. I like it, but it has that one fatal flaw.
